Our Mission
Nithsdale Wanderers Youth FC, located in Sanquhar, aims to engage local children in fitness, football, and teamwork. Join us for exciting activities and valuable learning experiences whilst playing for a name that is well known in Amateur Football across the South of Scotland.

Meet the Coaches
Our coaches provide leadership, strategy, and guidance to players with the goal of improving performance and motivating the team to succeed.

Club Chairman & Head Coach, 2014's Coach
Jim Holden
Jim Holden has been with the club since the beginning, he stayed committed in his aim to get our local children loving the sport and striving to do their best, playing confidently with their peers. Jim also has two sons on the team which pushed his passion for coaching further. Jim also works full time job
with the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service.

2014's Coach
Matthew Hubbard
Matthew started at the club along with Jim after his own son joined the club. After standing on the side lines as a parent Matthew decided to join the team himself as a coach. As well as coaching Matthew is known in our local community as he is the Janitor at the local high school.

2016's coach
Findlay Hamilton
Findlay started out as a parent on the sidelines watching his son play in our 2014 team. His daughter also showed a passion for football and working with the club Findlay was able to develop a new team our 2016's. Findlay is enthusiastic and is the driving force behind getting the team focused,developing new skills and playing in a local league.

Head of Youth
Andrew Wallace
Andrew has recently joined the club. He has happily taken on the role as Head of youth. Andrew has a wealth of coaching knowledge that he is eager to share with our coaches and children. Andrew strives to encourage our children to be the best they can be, Learning and developing new skills to reach their full potential.

2019's Coach
Richard Leaver
Richard is our newest coach, Richard usually spends his weekends watching his son from the sidelines. He is eager to share his coaching knowledge with our youngsters.

We have an amazing committee responsible for the administration and day-to-day operations of our football club.

Jason Boyle
Club Secretary & Child Wellbeing & Protection Officer
Jason has taken on the difficult task of making sure the club is compliant by the SYFA rules and due to his work with kids and apprentices has taken on the role as club Child Wellbeing & Protection Officer.

Claire MacAlister
Club Treasurer
Claire joined the club Committee at the very start of our journey. She was elected to be our treasurer and is doing a sterling job of managing the books and making sure our bank account stays healthy, Claire has also helped get the club some great Sponsors.
